About ARCS' 17

The Hackathon conducted during ARCS'17 focuses on inculcating new ideas in the creative minds of individuals by providing them a platform where they can interact with people having similar interests. The participants can develop any type of application, Web-based, IOS based, Android-based or any other. They have to develop their applications/projects in teams consisting of 3-5 members. The problem statement for the hackathon will be provided at the venue of the event and the teams will be judged on the basis of the effectiveness of the idea and its relation to the problem statement, code quality, design and user experience, implementation and the idea that is being pitched. The total prize money for the winners is 35,000* INR.

IEEE Computer Society, VIT is a student chapter of VIT University which aims at spreading technical knowledge among the young minds curious to learn more about latest developments and advancements in technology. Since the beginning, the student chapter is working to achieve this very purpose. ARCS'17 is one way to move a step closer to this goal. ARCS'17 is a technical colloquium organized by IEEE Computer Society, VIT in collaboration with SCOPE (School of Computer Engineering) powered by SSEL (Shirdi Sai Electricals Ltd.). It is a three-day event with three workshops and one hackathon, HackBattle'17. Students from all over India are welcome to participate in this event.

Yes, the food will be provided during the event at the event venue.
No. You have to register as an individual but the project/application has to be developed in teams of 3 to 5 participants.
Yes. You can also bring sensors and other kits you plan to use.
